SAMARIA. 'Middle Levantine' Series. Circa 375-333 BC. M'h (Silver, 8 mm, 0.68 g, 7 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. 𐡏𐡁𐡃𐡏𐡋 ('BD'L in Aramaic) Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent. Jeselsohn 96. Meshorer & Qedar 59. Rare and darkly toned. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
